This is something I struggled with, and it’s exactly why I designed The Body Transformation Planner. A step-by-step 12 month undated weight loss planner / weight loss journal (designed by a girl who lost over 100lbs and understands the struggles and the mental battle of weight loss!)
Designing the planner
I cannot believe after more than 6 months of work, The Body Transformation Planner has finally gone from an idea in my head, to actual printed words on a page, held in a beautifully designed journal!
I can’t quite comprehend it. For someone that loves to journal, and reflect on things, I feel so proud and grateful that there is now something in the world specifically for women on a journey to look and feel better about themselves, by working on their own health & fitness.
Not everyone is ready to invest the time, money or energy into a 121 coach to help them achieve their goals. Luckily, The Body Transformation Planner provides women like you with an opportunity to get a taster of coaching with a ‘self-serve’ approach to their fitness journey.
I remember thinking, I wish there was a planner that really helped me stay on track with my journey. Something fun to fill out and be creative with, but also gives me the information I need to always stay on track and feel like I’m progressing.
Well, it didn’t exist. Trust me, I tried to find one! So I designed one myself!
Who is the body transformation planner for?
This weight loss journal is for women who are either starting or currently on a health and fitness journey. It lasts an entire year, and breaks your journey down into small manageable chunks (daily, weekly and monthly) so you can continuously reflect on your goals.
It’s compact, so you can even take it to work and fill it out at your desk, or just take some time out of your day to focus on YOU. Self care is so important, and journalling really is an act of self care. By doing it, you’re sending a message to yourself that you ARE WORTHY. You deserve to take time out of your day to focus on YOU. No one else, just you.
How does it work?
The Body Transformation Planner works by guiding you through effective goal setting (starting with looking at your life’s vision and what you actually want out of life) and going right through to your daily habits.
It then goes on to assist you in setting up your new habits, new healthier routine, shopping & nutrition and visualisations.
You then start to take action towards your goal by checking in each day and logging your nutrition, your activity, your, caffeine, water & fruit/veg intake and your daily steps.
As you go, you log your progress on the various progress trackers, and even complete the fun tasks in the planner like the ‘network of support’ bingo page or the ‘colour me in’ weight loss counter. You can also add colour to your planner by using the 4 included sticker pages! (also designed by me, of course!)
What do I need?
The only thing you really need to start your journey is yourself, but there are a few things that I recommend you have to set yourself up for success.
- A smart phone (to track calories if you’re doing this and take photos of your progress)
- Smart scales (to track weight, body fat and lean mass)
- Tape measure (to take body measurements)
- A smart watch (such as a Fitbit or Apple Watch to track steps)
